The Dordogne, bordering the Haute Vienne, Corrèze, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Gironde, Charente-Maritime and Charente, owes its name to the river of the same name that runs through it. The forest occupies 45% of the territory, and the vineyards are mainly present on the side of Bergerac, Monbazillac and Pécharmant. Enjoy the specialties of the Périgord such as foie gras, cassoulet, snails, duck in all its forms, Perigueux sauce, Echourgnac trap, truffles, Perigord nuts and many other specialties that the Périgourdins will be happy to make you discover and taste with a local wine.
